Here at Hippie Candles safety is of huge importance. Candles have flames, flames cause fires. Always use products responsibly following guidelines and safety information provided.
- Never leave a burning candle out of sight or unattended. Put out candles and burners completely before going out or to bed.
- Keep away from children and pets. Clothes, hair and fur can catch fire in an instant and hot wax can burn.
- Do not ingest.
- Do not add anything to wax melts or candles. Keep free of all debris.
- Always use a suitable container on a heat proof, stable, even surface away from flammble objects such as clothing, curtains, bedding, magazines, tissues, aerosols.
- Candles can cause heat damage to surfaces below and above, never place in an enclosed space or under shelves etc.
- Keep at least 10cm between burning candles.
- Never move a burning candle. Containers get hot and wax spill can burn and damage clothing or furnishings.
- Burners and molten wax will remain hot after being turned off and extinguished. Do not move until completely cooled.
- Make sure candles are thoroughly extinguished, cooled and reset before replacing lids.
- Never overfill wax burner vessels. Be sure to check individual brand capacity and instructions.
- Never allow wax burners to burn dry.
- For non electric wax burners use unscented tea lights to heat, fragranced ones may burn too hot.
- Do not burn for more than 4 hours.
- Make sure votives are burned in a suitable conatiner to hold the wax pool.
- Never dispose of molten or scoopable waxes down a drain.
